It is known for its high cure rates and tissue preservation capabilities. <br>During Mohs surgery, the surgeon removes the cancerous tissue layer by layer, examining each layer under a microscope immediately after removal. This allows for precise mapping of the cancer cells within the tissue. By analyzing the tissue margins, the surgeon can determine the extent of the cancer and identify any remaining cancer cells.
