John Zhang, MD, Ph.D

Bio

Dr. Zhang is board-certified in dermatopathology, as well as in anatomic and clinical pathology. At the University of Washington, he was mentored by the then-president of the American Society of Dermatopathology, Dr. Zsolt Argenyi. Prior to that, Dr. Zhang spent 6 years as a researcher at Johns Hopkins University and the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where he obtained his Ph.D. in Human Genetics and Molecular Biology. His research has been published in some of the world’s most respected, peer-reviewed journals and he has also presented his research findings at both national and international conferences. Dr. Zhang has won awards from the American Society of Dermatopathology, as well as the National Institutes of Health. He held positions in leadership committees in the College of American Pathologists and is also a member of the American Society of Dermatopathology.

In his free time, Dr. Zhang is a photographer, runner, and exercise enthusiast.
