Bio

Dr. Song is the director of clinical research for Frontier Dermatology. He is actively involved in the development of new therapies for the entire spectrum of dermatologic disease and has firsthand experience with treatments before they come to market. Dr. Song believes that medicine is a lifelong learning endeavor—especially in the field of dermatology, which has seen rapid growth in treatment and diagnostic tests. As such, Dr. Song regularly participates in meetings, both as a lecturer and attendee, and stays up-to-date with all of the new advancements in dermatology.

Dr. Song also holds a clinical instructor position at the University of Washington and is active in teaching medical students and resident physicians in-training.  Dr. Song is recognized as a key opinion leader (KOL) in psoriasis and atopic dermatitis, and speaks nationally to educate other healthcare providers. He has been published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and continues to be a regular contributor to the dermatology literature.

Dr. Song’s main clinical interest in medical dermatology—particularly psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, vitiligo, alopecia areata, and hidrandentitis suppurativa.

He believes that the best health outcomes come from shared decision making between the patient and physician. Dr. Song strives to help patients understand not only their condition, but all their treatment options. His goal is to empower patients to make informed decisions that they are truly comfortable with.
